Individual Review

Students who do not meet the Assured Admission Criteria or Admissions Criteria with Requirements can be admitted through the University of Houston-Victoria's individual review process. This process involves the UHV Admission Appeal that holistically reviews a student’s letter of appeal, two letters of recommendation from a High School Administrator, Educator, or Counselor, and official transcripts that support a student's ability to succeed at the University of Houston-Victoria.

A student sits on a bed, wearing a gray UHV t-shirt and holding an open turquoise-covered book, surrounded by patterned pillows.

Note:

Students must graduate on the Foundation “Endorsement” or “Distinguished” High School program or a curriculum equivalent in content and rigor as the endorsement or distinguished program.

Students who pass the GED exam will be recognized as satisfying the 2.5 grade point average (GPA) requirement.

Official Transcript Options

Authenticity

Ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of your transcripts is vital in our evaluation process. Please make sure your transcripts are official and sent directly from your high school or institution.

Please note that transcripts sent via email as direct attachments will not be accepted as official documents.

Electronic Transcripts

We highly recommend requesting your high school or institution to send your transcripts electronically through a TREx (for Texas institutions) or EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system. This method is preferred as it enables faster processing of your application.

eDoc Service

If electronic submission is not available, you can ask your school administrator to send us a PDF version of your official transcript through secure eDoc services such as Naviance/Parchment or Speede (FICE code: 013231).
