“I’m pretty excited I’m going to be playing softball there,” Williams said. She mentioned she liked the softball program, the location and the academic programs at UHV.

The second base player first learned about UHV when head softball coach Keri Lambeth recruited her after watching her play travel ball for the Magic Gold team out of Missouri City.

Outside of softball, Williams was a member of the National Honor Society and secretary of the English Honor Society at her high school. She also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and is an advocate for the Arthritis Foundation.

Williams plans to major in biology at UHV and eventually become a physical therapist.
