The screen is set up so that it is facing the hallway and can easily be seen by students.

The information that appears on the electronic bulletin board is coordinated by Lawrence Nelson, the school’s multimedia specialist. Information rotating on the screen includes a faculty directory, spring registration deadlines, the school’s logo and the “Jaguar Journal,” which features recent faculty publications and presentations.

Future plans include adding a “Faculty Spotlight,” which would highlight one of the school’s faculty members; a letter from Rossow; and information about the Air Force ROTC Affiliate Program that UHV has with the University of Houston main campus. Nelson also plans to put a link to the information on the school’s homepage (www.uhv.edu/education) so that UHV education students who are not on campus also can view it.

“This is just one other way that we can effectively communicate with students,” Nelson said.
