Brittany Withers, a senior at Stockdale High School in Stockdale, plans to attend UHV to do two things.

She wants to play on the UHV Jaguars women’s golf team and study to be a teacher.

Withers first discovered golf after she injured her ankles during track her freshman year. When she was asked to try out golf, she wound up shooting a 91 during her first tournament. The coach told her that she should stay on the golf team.

Along with sports, she also is a member of several student organizations like Student Council, Future Farmers of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
