Student loves dancing, healing others

<p>Kimberlyn Garcia, a senior at Westside High School in Houston, loves to dance.</p> <table align="right" border="0" cellpadding="3" style="bordercollapse: collapse;" width="100"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="bordercollapse: collapse;"><img alt="Kimberlyn Garcia" src="images/Uploads/underclassmen/GarciaKimberlyn.JPG" style="border-width: 0px; float: right;" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle" style="bordercollapse: collapse;"><font size="1">Kimberlyn Garcia</font></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p>&ldquo;I mostly do modern and contemporary dance,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a way of showing my feelings, who I am.&rdquo;</p> <p>The prospect of being one of the first students to dance into the University of Houston-Victoria as a freshman got her attention when she first saw a brochure.</p> <p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m going to be a pioneer student for all of the rest of the generations to come,&rdquo; she said.</p> <p>Garcia plans to major in biology and eventually go to medical school.</p> <p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve been dreaming of becoming a doctor ever since I was 7,&rdquo; she said, noting she wants to be a pediatrician and help children suffering from diseases.</p> <p>Along with dancing, she&rsquo;s a member of the Health Occupation Students of America, an organization for students going into healthcare. Students attend conferences and competitions.</p>
