Student�s mentoring working leads to interest in psychology at UHV

<p>Andrea Fraguada&rsquo;s volunteer work as a mentor to freshmen at her high school has made her consider majoring in psychology as a college freshman.</p> <table align="right" border="0" cellpadding="3" style="bordercollapse: collapse;" width="100"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="bordercollapse: collapse;"><img alt="Andrea Fraguada" src="images/Uploads/underclassmen/FraguadaAndrea.JPG" style="border-width: 0px; float: right;" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td align="middle" style="bordercollapse: collapse;"><font size="1">Andrea Fraguada</font></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p>&ldquo;The mentoring work gives me a chance to tell them about my experiences and to encourage them to take school seriously,&rdquo; said Fraguada, a senior at Scarborough High School in Houston.</p> <p>Fraguada is accepted as one of UHV&rsquo;s FIRST 200 freshmen and said she learned about the university through a friend.</p> <p>&nbsp;&ldquo;I like that it&rsquo;s not that far from home, and it&rsquo;s less expensive than other schools,&rdquo; she said.</p>
