Student�s mentoring working leads to interest in psychology at UHV

<p>Andrea Fraguada’s volunteer work as a mentor to freshmen at her high school has made her consider majoring in psychology as a college freshman.</p>

<p>“The mentoring work gives me a chance to tell them about my experiences and to encourage them to take school seriously,” said Fraguada, a senior at Scarborough High School in Houston.</p>
<p>Fraguada is accepted as one of UHV’s FIRST 200 freshmen and said she learned about the university through a friend.</p>
<p> “I like that it’s not that far from home, and it’s less expensive than other schools,” she said.</p>
