The fair originally was scheduled for Aug. 24, but was moved because of the new Sept. 7 start date for freshman and sophomore classes.

This will be a great event to allow employers looking for part-time help to meet potential student employees and see the new residence hall that these students will call home, said Eunice Mesa, UHV career services coordinator.

The event, which is sponsored by UHV Career Services, is free for both employers and UHV students. It will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at Jaguar Hall, 2705 Houston Hwy.

Representatives from local businesses, nonprofit organizations and UHV offices must pre-register by 5 p.m. Sept. 3 at https://www.myinterfase.com/uhv/employer or by contacting Mesa at 361-570-4369 or mesae@uhv.edu. Employers should let Mesa know if they need access to an interview room or electricity for their table. Free wi-fi access also is available.

Although students do not need to register in advance for the fair, they should come with plenty of resumes and dress professionally.
