UHV students lend a hand in flood-damaged Louisiana

<div class="cutline">Anna Tamez, a University of Houston-Victoria sophomore from Laredo, removes flood-damaged items inside a house in Dehnam Springs, La. Tamez was one of 28 UHV students and four staff members who spent Labor Day weekend assisting flood victims in and around Baton Rouge, La. Often having to wear masks, safety glasses and gloves, the UHV group cleaned out debris from four flooded homes. Students also visited with homeowners and neighbors to learn more about the families they assisted.</div>
