A&M-Victoria welcomes families to campus

Students, family members and employees dance to the music Saturday during the Texas A&M University-Victoria Family Fest during the university’s annual Family Weekend celebration. The weekend began Friday with check-in, a family dinner and a spirit rally. The festivities continued Saturday with the Walk 2 End Alzheimer’s, followed by Family Fest and a students vs. parents dodgeball game. The university also offered free transportation to Tejas Fest in downtown Victoria. The Family Fest event featured a carnival-like celebration with free food, a dunking booth, a climbing wall, balloon animals, face painting, henna tattoos, an information station from the Texas Zoo, and more.

Texas A&M University-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 50 academic programs in the colleges of Business, Education & Health Professions, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, and Natural & Applied Science. A&M-Victoria provides face-to-face classes at its Victoria campus, as well as online classes that students can take from anywhere.
