Texas A&M University-Victoria is excited to welcome students and their families to campus during the first weekend of October for the university’s annual Family Weekend.

On Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3, the university will host a selection of events that will allow students and their families to socialize on campus and spend time together while enjoying good food and fun activities.

With National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 15 as its anchor, Texas A&M University-Victoria has launched a week-long tabling event aimed at helping students, especially first-time voters, get ballot ready.

Hosted by the Jaguar Activities Board, the trip offered students a fun off-campus outing at the San Antonio Zoo.

Texas A&M University-Victoria will receive about $325,000 for the 2026-27 academic year through a new initiative from The Texas A&M University System that will help universities cover the unreimbursed cost of serving Texas veterans under the Hazlewood Act.
