A&M-Victoria students assemble Blessing Bags for those in need

Blessing Bags event

Business sophomores Edie Nicholson, left, and Kayleen Flores right, work side-by-side on their bags during the Blessing Bags event on Oct. 14 inside University Commons at Texas A&M University-Victoria. Organized by Student Involvement, the volunteer effort invited students to come and prepare essential personal care kits for people experiencing homelessness. From 10-11 a.m., students put supplies such as deodorant, body wipes, shampoo, body wash and other toiletry items into bags. Once assembled, the kits were collected in a box and sent to Mid-Coast Family Services to be distributed to those in need.
