“We’re so excited to sponsor this Victoria Generals game and share a night of fun with the community,” said Christian Hardigree, A&M-Victoria president. “It’s not summertime without a night at the ballpark, and I look forward to cheering on the Generals.”

The Victoria Generals will play the Sherman Shadowcats on Thursday, June 25 at Riverside Stadium, 405 Memorial Drive. The first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. Attendees can get free tickets on campus. Tickets are not required to attend.

The first 100 guests will receive a free scoop of the special A&M-Victoria ice cream flavor created by Green Cow Creamery. The first pitch will be thrown by Hardigree.

This year, the Generals’ roster includes Beck Zimmerman, a sophomore catcher from Flatonia and a member of the A&M-Victoria Jaguars baseball team. The Victoria Generals and the Sherman Shadowcats play in the Texas Collegiate League, a collegiate summer wooden bat league consisting of eight teams from Texas and Louisiana.
