Former heart surgeon shares expertise with students

Dr. Yusuke Yahagi speaks to an auditorium of Texas A&M University-Victoria students Friday to share information about aortic valve disease. Yahagi is a retired cardiothoracic surgeon and an alumnus of A&M-Victoria who now teaches at Ganado High School. His presentation focused on how aortic valve disease occurs, its symptoms and how it can be treated. The presentation was attended by A&M-Victoria biology students and was organized by Hashimul Ehsan, director of the graduate biomedical science program and associate professor.
