New campus magazine hot off the press

The latest issue of Seventy-Three, the campus magazine for Texas A&M University-Victoria, is ready for reading.
The fourth issue of the magazine features an in-depth dive into the university’s identity and its goals for the future, featuring interviews with campus leaders, community partners, student-athletes, alumni, donors and more. Free copies of the magazine are available on campus at magazine racks and on tables in public areas.
“A&M-Victoria has an amazing story to tell, and our talented Marketing & Communications team has found those amazing moments and brought them to life on every page,” said Brittany Marsh, director of Marketing & Communications. “We invite you to learn more about what A&M-Victoria has to offer and check out our fourth edition of Seventy-Three magazine.”
Throughout the magazine, readers will find a blend of fun features and interesting profiles. It begins with a fun Question and Answer article with A&M-Victoria President Christian Hardigree, then transitions into an article that looks at the university’s vision for future growth and community collaboration.
“I am pleased to share my hopes and goals for the university’s future through the magazine, along with a healthy dose of fun,” Hardigree said. “The magazine offers a peek into many of the things that make A&M-Victoria a wonderful place, especially the people, whether they are students, alumni, employees or community supporters. I’m excited to share their stories with the community.”
Other fun pieces include a look at the history of the International Festival, a College Survival Guide and a feature about the Jaguar Volleyball Club. In addition, there are several profiles of alumni and current students, such as an article about Brady Parker, an A&M-Victoria baseball player who was drafted by the Colorado Rockies.
This issue also highlights and looks back at the university’s first year as part of The Texas A&M University System. In addition to looking back, there are articles highlighting new programs that the university plans to introduce in the next two years, including aviation, agribusiness and engineering.
The magazine also contains some fun items, such as a university-themed word search puzzle in the back and a jaX standee inside that readers can construct themselves.
