Hello, and welcome to Texas A&M University-Victoria!
I am so glad that you are exploring possibilities for your higher education journey, and I hope A&M-Victoria will be the right place for you. This is a special campus with a warm, welcoming community that is built around the desire to see students like you reach their full potential. Let me show you how.
Students at A&M-Victoria have a unique opportunity to shape their own future. Our small class sizes allow students to receive more personalized attention from professors, who are dedicated to helping students succeed. Our faculty members put particular emphasis on connecting classroom learning with real-world experience.
In addition to excellent classroom instruction, students can participate in a variety of student organizations that offer a wide range of activities across campus. And, if students are interested in activities not covered by current organizations, they are encouraged to start their own and make connections with other students who share their interests. From learning about diverse and international cultures to participating in eSports or even environmental activities, A&M-Victoria students can do it all.
Our university is located in the town of Victoria, Texas, a small city situated perfectly between the major metropolitan areas of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi. It’s a perfect blend of the comfort of a small town with many of the amenities of a city. At the same time, the surrounding metropolitan areas are just two hours away – perfect for a weekend day trip. Victoria is just 30 minutes away from the coast, and students can enjoy a variety of activities both in town and in the surrounding area.
I welcome you to visit our campus and see how welcoming and beautiful it is for yourself. From our apartment-style dorm rooms to the new Health & Wellness Center, A&M-Victoria is a wonderful place for students to start the next phase of their journeys.
