Retiree Login Guidance
Retired Pre University System Transition 9/1/2025
- You must log into Office 365 to change your default password. Please follow these instructions to set up your retiree account.
- Navigate to Office 365.
- Login with your UHV email address as your username. Retiree accounts are created with pre-expired passwords meaning the user must change the default password to a new passphrase before the account can be used.
The default password is in the format of WelcomeJagsmmddyyx! where:- mm is the two-digit birth month
- dd is the two-digit birth day
- yy is the two-digit birth year
- x is the first character of the last name in lowercase
- ! (exclamation point - Shift + 1 on the keyboard)
- For example, if Jane Smith’s date of birth is January 15, 1980, then her initial password is WelcomeJags011580s!
Leading zeros are required for those months or days that are single digit.
- Update your Password. Passwords must be at least eight characters long. Please see the Password Guidelines and Changing Your Password documentation.
Passphrases will not expire UNLESS your account is compromised. This includes unauthorized activity detected on the account or an unrequested Duo push.
- Setup account recovery options in Office 365. You will only be required to setup your account recovery options the first time you log in. Setting up account recovery options will help with self service password resets.
- You will need to complete the Duo enrollment steps to complete the account setup process. Additional information about Duo can be found here: Duo Authentication Overview.
- Login to Workday.
- Navigate to https://sso.tamus.edu/
- Click on the icon for Texas A&M University – Victoria

- If prompted, login with your UHV email and password

- Complete the DUO authentication request, verify your device, and choose to “stay signed in” if prompted.
- You’ll be directed to the A&M System SSO Statement of Responsibility screen. Enter your UIN, which is provided in the agreement, and select “agree”.

- You will be redirected to the A&M System SSO Menu.

Retired after 9/1/2025
If you retired after 9/1/2025, you will need to use ID Me to login to Workday.
